We are so delighted you’re here. Whether this is your first time to the area, or you’re a lifetime visitor, we can’t wait to have you explore our 52 acres of heaven. There are hidden little spots and wide open skies and water rushing into swimming holes and wild roses. This is our place. We have kept the resort very small and private, so that you can enjoy this place like we do. Where you can still hear the meadowlarks in the morning and the coyotes at night.
There is a charm and energy to the Black Hills that soothes the soul. And much about the region is rather undiscovered. You can hike all day and not see another soul, if you like. You can enjoy the bustle of Mt Rushmore, and in a moment be exploring a locals-only seldom-used trail. There are places here called Horsethief Lake, and Black Elk Peak, and Jewel Cave. Movies have been filmed here, like Dances with Wolves and National Treasure.
We have friends here. Good people who appreciate a good story, belly laughs, and quiet mornings. We’re thrilled to count you among them.

We offer a blend of traditional experiences, like music around the bonfire and stargazing on warm summer nights. We also offer modern comfort, like locally-source ingredients in Meander and designer linens in the bungalows. We live in the area and have the opportunity to introduce you to unique experiences not typically available.

The place is perfect, it had been on my bucket list for a couple of years to stay at Cappie's, and we were finally able to make it happen. The craftsmanship is incredible and so interesting. All of the little details inside and out make you appreciate it even more. Such a neat place to unwind or rewind. We will definitely be back to stay, we loved it all. Concierge was excellent and super thorough and very accommodating!
